My inspiration for starting this site comes from over four years of working on economic development ideas for the community I live in. I lost track of how many conferences, training events, meetings and so on that I went to on economic development. While there was lots of good information at these venues they never seemed to deal with the issues facing our small towns. I never felt that what was being promoted would be feasible or the opportunities were just not the right fit. I have met many others working with the same goal at these evens that have told me they were just lost. The options that I have found are very limited.

The good news is that working together we can make a difference in our communities. You can start a discussion on a topic of your choice, brain storm, start a group that is focused on your community or county or idea, post a blog comment and expand your network.
