Welcome!

Welcome to the Small Town Help. Here you can meet fellow small town leaders, citizens and individuals interested in working together on the common goal of bettering our communities. This group is opened to anyone worldwide that wants to participate. It is free to sign up.

My inspiration for starting this site comes from over four years of working on economic development ideas for the community I live in. I lost track of how many conferences, training events, meetings and so on that I went to on economic development. While there was lots of good information at these venues they never seemed to deal with the issues facing our small towns. I never felt that what was being promoted would be feasible or the opportunities were just not the right fit. I have met many others working with the same goal at these evens that have told me they were just lost. The options that I have found are very limited.

The good news is that working together we can make a difference in our communities. You can start a discussion on a topic of your choice, brain storm, start a group that is focused on your community or county or idea, post a blog comment and expand your network. The possibilities are endless. Please sign up and join in. Together we can build vibrant and prosperous small towns. Thank you.

Now I know I am only speaking to those who would like to help improve our small towns, which makes your help even more important. There are plenty of people that either don’t care or think others will take care of what ever needs to be… Continue
